Being a family photographer in Minneapolis this time of year is one of the reasons I fall in love with being a photographer over and over again. I LOVE the Fall season because I get the chance to see so many families that have been with me since the beginning of my business and it renews my spark, fills up my heart, and makes my face hurt from smiling so much.
One of my biggest blessings as a wedding and family photographer in Minneapolis is being able to photograph people in many stages of their lives and follow them along in their life journeys. The Wacker family was one of my original families when I first started my business! I get SO excited to see them for family photos every year and it’s so special as Trinette is one of my dearest friends!
As if following my original clients as they flow through life isn’t already a huge privilege, also having a chance to capture one of my dearest friends with her family year after year is the icing on the photography cake for me. It is a true joy to witness Catriona grow and change and I swear that Trinette and Bryan are like a fine wine—getting better with age.
For their family session this year, we walked around St. Anthony Main (which is located across from St. Anthony Falls in Northeast Minneapolis on the Mississippi River), and stopped along the way to take in the breathtaking skyline view. We also let Catriona “swing” with her parents—so many giggles—and get the BEST shoulder rides on Dad!
My cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much by the time our session was over and I knew I would miss them as soon as we were finished and was already looking forward to next year’s family photography session with them. I wonder where we’ll go next year?
Family photo sessions are so much fun that I, literally, can’t seem to get enough of them! If you are looking for some fun family photos full of heartsmiles and belly laughs, I’d love to connect with you and make some magic together.
