It’s the love story made for the movies of a Minnesota girl who meets a Texan boy during med school and fall madly in love. These two compliment each other perfectly. Just spend five minutes with them and they will make you fall in love with love all over again. Their wedding was dreamy and the  perfect back drop of Sugar Lake while being surrounded by the people they hold dear was the icing on the cake!

When I first met Shea and Luke via Skype, our call was full of laughter due to both of us having dogs that decided to make their appearances on camera. We bonded over our active lifestyles, crazy schedules, and  love of having a wedding focused on love and the sweet family and friends who come to celebrate.

Immediately, I fell in love with the fact that Shea & Luke were having their reception at Shea’s family cabin on Sugar Lake. Which is the same place her older brother was married a few years prior. I love when couples keep traditions and add personal touches. Since Shea & Luke live out of state, we met right before the wedding and it felt as if I had known them for years. Then they graciously invited my husband and our daughter to their rehearsal dinner which was such a wonderful time.

Luke’s family is from Texas and they made a Texan Barbecue and they drove everything up from Texas to Minnesota just to make to celebrate the families coming together.

Dear Shea and Luke,

You two are just as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. To see the way you love your family and love the way your friends are an extension of that family. I was honored to be a part of that inner circle for the weekend of your wedding! I sincerely hope you love your photographs as much as I loved taking them! That in 50 years you have that same joy and deeper love for each other when you’re paging through your wedding album and reliving all the beautiful memories together. You two deserve the world and enjoy a lifetime of adventures, puppy snuggles, belly laughter!
