There is so much about these two that I absolutely love! From the first time I spoke with them
not only did I know that they were the best complement to each other, but they were fun-loving and their wedding was going to be a blast! Jessie and I became fast friends through
planning phone calls and the moment I saw her the morning of their wedding I was greeted by
the biggest bear hug!

Jessie and Shawn met while playing roller derby. They were each a part of steerage teams but
they would often practice and travel together. The members of roller derby have tight
friendships and they call themselves one big family. (I love this!)

The two of them both had ever-changing lives but as old doors closed and new doors opened,
they decided (after a developing friendship) to give it a go as a couple. When Jessie first told
her children that they were dating, they burst into tears of joy!

These two were surrounded by
love and friendship on their wedding day and one of my favorite parts was when Jessie
surprised Shawn with colored smoke bombs after their first kiss as a married couple!
I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two but I know their lives will be full of
laughter, roller derby, canoe trips, and a life full of adventure!
