Kristen and Nick had a small, intimate ceremony before the worldwide pandemic hit. The wedding was held at Glensheen Mansion in Duluth, which is a historic estate and a living history lesson. It’s one of my absolute favorite wedding venues as there are many beautiful locations for photos. It also provides beautiful views of Lake Superior.
Kristen and Nick both grew up in Bemidji, but somehow didn’t meet until after Kristen graduated high school. They became a couple in 2007 and their love story has evolved ever since with a minor “break” when Kristen was finishing up law school. Then, they went on a vacation to Hawaii back in April of 2019 and that’s when the magic happened. On their first full day in Maui, Nick wanted to go sit on the beach and stargaze, Kristen had no idea, but just as soon as they were about to leave, Nick was on one knee and proposed. Which was such a surprise as Kristen wasn’t expecting a proposal in Hawaii. It made their entire trip the perfect vacation!
Their wedding day was a winter wonderland, as well as a wonderful celebration of their love, friendship, and commitment to each other. Their small, intimate group was joyous and I could feel the love in the room. These two are absolutely a perfect fit for each other as they both love to laugh together, love each other through and through, and I’m ecstatic for them and their new life together!
As you scroll through, you’ll be able to see and feel all the emotion from their wedding day as if you were right there with us. Not only did Kristen wear a STUNNING gown, but her florals from Saffron & Grey were jaw-dropping gorgeous and the sun peaking through the trees made the day even more magical.

Fueled by equal parts strong coffee and French 75’s, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that convey distinctive emotion through intentional moments and create elevated images you’ll treasure for a lifetime. I showcase your story and your love in an exceptional, gracious way. I believe in real moments, heartfelt conversations, love stories that grow stronger through the storms and the kind of joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. When I'm not tearing up during the vows, you'll find me whipping up a new recipe in the kitchen, listening to Sinatra, or snuggling with my mini me.
