To say we had a good time during Zac and Melissa’s engagement session in Duluth, is a bit of an understatement! And if I told you that I’m not excited about their wedding at the Moorish Room at Greysolon Plaza in March 2020, my pants would be on fire! 

We had SO MUCH FUN during their engagement session that I just know their wedding day is going to be an absolute dream—not only because the Moorish Room is a spec-freaking-tacular venue, but also because they are just so full of love and laughter. 

Zac and Melissa drove a few hours to come to Duluth and were lucky enough to experience three different seasons in one day! We had a light snowfall when we were roaming around Bagley Nature Park, followed by gorgeous sunshine at Brighton Beach, and we ended the day with Lake Superior showing off her waves with some wind coming off the lake.

These two were so hilarious that my abs hurt for days afterward from laughing so much with them. There was some random skipping through the fall leaves and we were lucky enough to have an umbrella to protect Melissa’s hair from the snowfall (that gave us this surreal and snowy fall look that can only be found in Minnesota). 

I feel like Engagement sessions are one of the most important opportunities for me to work with my wedding couples as it gives us all a chance to get to know each other and get used to working together. This makes it like you have an old friend showing up on your wedding day instead of some random wedding photographer you found on the internet to photograph your wedding. I can’t recommend these sessions enough!
